Put Central America on the Map in Schools

Last Date:

Schools Throughout DC

Put Central America on the Map in Schools campaign. Launch date: September 15, 2013. More than 3 million Central Americans reside in the United States today, yet the lack of resources in most schools on Central America render the rich history and literature of the region invisible. For the 2013 Latino/Hispanic Heritage Month, Teaching for Change is launching a campaign to encourage teaching about Central America and support teachers with a variety of classroom resources. We offer a collection of lessons, readings, and other resources that classroom teachers can access for free. This is the first collection of its kind anywhere in the country for teachers and students on Central America. Visit the campaign here: http://www.teachingforchange.org/ask-me-about-central-america
